LEAVE NO TRACE in Tromsø
Michalina W. Klasik among artists invited to this year’s Open Out Festival in Norway. Her GROUNDING installation shown at the main exhibition in Tromsø Kunstforening.
The Open Out Festival is organised in the Norwegian city of Tromsø. “Leave no trace,” the title of this year’s edition, has directed the event towards the ideas of sustainable development, environment protection, and the attempts to prevent climate change.
Michalina W. Klasik works in painting, objects, text. She is guided by the idea of decolonising nature. The installation presented at the Open Out Festival is part of her ongoing “Secret Activism” project, started in 2018.
