Born in 1957, he lives and works in Katowice. Graduate of the secondary school of fine arts in Jarosław (1977) and of the Faculty of Graphic Art of the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków (branch in Katowice), where he obtained his diploma with medal at Prof. Tomasz Jura’s Graphic Design Studio and Prof. Jerzy Duda-Gracz’s Painting Studio in 1982. He was a lecturer of the European Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1994-2000. A Professor of Fine Arts since 2009, and currently full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Member of the Manhattan Graphics Center, NY, USA, and of the International Print Triennial in Kraków Association. Awarded a Gold Cross of Merit by the President of the Republic of Poland in 2014. Frequent participant of artistic journeys in Europe, the USA and China.
